Bulford Newborn Photographer - Baby Hudson's Session

Meet sweet Baby Hudson and his family from Bulford as they visit my newborn photography studio

Baby Hudson's mummy booked his session way back in the early Autumn when they found out that they were expecting a baby boy. I encourage my clients to book early in pregnancy, as soon as they decide they want to work with me, to ensure I have availability for their due date. It is also one less thing to think about once your baby has been born. No one wants to be looking around for a Bulford newborn photographer at the last minute as well as caring for a new baby!

Having looked forward to meeting him for so long, it was wonderful when the day came for sweet Hudson's newborn photography session in my Salisbury studio. He was just 7 days new and so perfect, with the most adorable sweet cheeks.

His mummy and daddy are absolutely smitten as your can see! We had such a lovely timer capturing these first family photographs that will be so precious to them in years to some. Hudson slept beautiful and enjoyed all the cuddles and love from his adoring parents.

So new and curly! The beauty of newborn photography is that the window to capture these type of images is so very small - just the first few weeks of life. One day his daddy will say to him that he could once fit in the palms of his hands, and he will have the photograph to prove it!

Blue is such a popular colour for baby boys and this shade suited baby Hudson perfectly. These poses are some of my favourites to capture with chubby cheeked babies as they show those beautiful cheeks off perfectly.

At this point in his session Hudson needed a feed and a wiggle before settling back to sleep. I used this opportunity to pop the sweetest, softest little romper on him for the next series of images. It even has a matching sleepy cap!

I moved him from the posing table to the bucket and into the bed without him stirring at all. He was co cosy and comfortable in that little romper!

Staying with the beautiful neural colour scheme, we used a different style of wrap to make him cosy in the vintage dough bowl and added a more traditional bonnet with ties.

We then switched up the wrap for a gorgeous blue knit and captured Hudson in the heart bowl and of course a macro close up image of his adorable little toes!

The next set of images are some of my favourites from his session. clean, simple and neutrally styled with mummy and daddy's hands included for scale.

Backlit parent images have become a staple of all my newborn photography sessions now. They are so flattering to parents and perfect if mums and dads are not so confident in front of the camera. The black and white edit creates a truly timeless piece of art which deserves to be printed as big as possible!

Finally, we finished Hudson's newborn photography session with another wrapped set of images and of course a sweet teddy to cuddle.
